Yachting club

The new Marina (Tanja Marina Bay International), with a capacity of 1,400 moorings aims to become the largest marina in the Strait region. It will offer a wide range of services designed according to the highest international standards, including ship repair, winter storage, pleasure boating, nautical schools as well as shops, car parks, cafes and restaurants.

The new Marina has the following characteristics:

  • A basin of 15 hectares with a minimum draft of 2.50 m
  • Pontoons of 2500 m linear to accommodate boats from 7 to 90 m
  • A dock in concrete blocks for Mega-Yachts with a length of 80 m
  • A slipway of 10 m wide to dry small boats
  • Controlled access to pontoons
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Water, electricity and Wi-Fi
  • Showers, Locker-rooms, and laundry rooms
  • Fuel station
  • A covered parking with 448 spaces
  • An entertainment area with ten cafes/ Restaurants and a nautical club
  • A musical fountain of 137 jets on a length of 106 ml covering 1145 m2
  • A constructed surface of 23.805 m2 includes a covered parking, shops, cafes, restaurants, and a nautical Club

The mythical Royal Yacht Club of Tangier, the oldest in Morocco, created in 1925, naturally finds its place in Tanja Marina Bay. The yachting club organizes nautical events and welcomes its members in a beautiful setting.

Managed by the non-profit and sport association known as the « Royal Yacht of Tangier (RYCT)« , the Club aims to encourage the teaching and practice of water sports and recreational boating, promote the physical and moral qualities of its members, and to participate in the official and friendly competitions organized locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
